You’ve gone through the tough part of actually selling your home, but where do we go next? Here are the four things you need to do:

 

1. Hire professional movers.

Don’t try to do it yourself. You will break stuff, and it will be stressful. You’re better off hiring professionals to do the job

2. Make sure you have your mail changed at the Post Office.

3. Get your utilities transferred.

This only takes a few minutes, but it will be great to have those utilities transferred by the time you move in.

4. Make sure you’ve got all of your important documents.

Put your closing papers in a safe place, because you will probably need them on your tax return next year.

People are always asking me when the best time to buy or sell a home might be. The answer is right now!

The fall is the best time to sell in Northern Idaho. The weather is great, and interest rates are still very low. We have some great inventory available as well.

We have just had one of our best starts in years in Coeur D'Alene in over a decade.  Sales in our area are up over 200% and sale prices are up by 25% in some neighborhoods!

With current conditions, the market is very active and it's a great time to buy or sell. Interest rates are still extremely low and banks are loosening their criteria, making things much easier for buyers. 

Here's some more good news for you: Some of the California markets that were feeding us for the last 15 years or so have hit their peak, so they are now able to get up here and cash out, paying us the fair market value.
